Valuta Impact - The Project and Beyond
We know that we are privileged to be allowed to work with your projects. The impact of our work reaches beyond the project team and lasts longer than the project timeline. The impact of a Valuta intervention is very often catalytic for a range of key people, those close to the project include the project team, the project owner, and the project board (or decision making body). However, because we seek input from key internal and external stakeholders, support for the project is increased, and understanding of what is needed to make the project happen is shared with a wide audience - and this leads to increased commitment and more successful benefits delivery.
"When you have your head down, totally immersed in a project, it is
immensely valuable to have the services of an experienced, external
team to assure you on, or alert you to, substantive areas of the
project. The Valuta review has been widely used by HIE, always with
constructive and practical results. In addition, training our own
people on the review principals has resulted in better all round
project management."
Jackie Wright, Director Business Growth & Research, Highlands and Island Enterprise.

Ongoing Impact So that we can be every project manager's dream solution, the results of our work have to be understood by everyone who needs to respond. From start to finish of each review experience, we work to generate both understanding and commitment across the project organisation. The way we work is completely transparent, and as key issues are identified we highlight them to the client, which means that we remain focused on current issues and the client is moved forwards as we progress.
Individual Impact Because we meet individually with key stakeholders from within and around the project, we can clarify and confirm their individual understanding of progress and issues affecting the project. These individual meetings also provide us with an opportunity to suggest areas for reflection. A frequent comment from clients, is that our work helps them to consider issues from a more strategic perspective.
As part of our delivery of continual improvement, a recent innovation to our process has been the presentation of findings to the project board or decision making group. Challenge and discussion from the project’s top team improves understanding within the client organisation and increases commitment to change.
We also recognise the importance of lessons learned and, at Valuta, we are able to identify those lessons which would benefit both other projects within the client organisation as well as projects in other client organisations. Wherever possible we highlight these learning opportunities to increase the value of our reviews and the impact across our client community.
